Where our name comes from

“Amando” stands for signpost.

We are a social education provider that breaks new ground. Together with children, young people and families, we develop solutions that make an independent and self-determined life possible – with the aim of active participation.

What we stand for

Between preserving and changing

We believe that successful and lasting development needs a balance between preserving and changing. Every person has abilities and resources in every situation in life – with our professional support, we help them grow.

We are ideologically neutral, politically independent and open to all groups in society. We treat people with respect, acceptance and empathy.

Our task is to help people in crisis with all our skills. That is why our on-call service is available around the clock.

Two social education professionals at the helm

Amando Sozialmanagement GbR is run by Natascha Börgers and Dörte Horstmann. Both also head a department and know the work from first-hand practice.

Our office is on the Dorfplatz in Rastede. Our residential groups are in Rastede, Jaderberg and Wahnbek; school support and family support take place on site.

Part of a family from Rastede

Amando Sozialmanagement grew out of Amando e.V., an association that has been supporting families since 2010. Under the same management, our sister company Amando Sol GmbH provides outpatient psychiatric support for adults. Together we also support social projects, such as the association “Müllstadtkinder” in Cairo.
